About Us
We went to the casino tonight to celebrate our daughters graduation and had dinner at St.Germains. Our good fortune was to have Wendy as our server and what an absolute crackerjack. The food was excellent but her service provided was over the top. Time was running out on getting gowns and mortarbords and when we mentioned that, our daughters meal came right out. I had the pleasure of speaking with the manager but when staff do such a great job, I think it important to relay that to others. Zero hesitation on a return trip. Thanks Wendy.
We had a fabulous dinner at Match last evening. Food and atmosphere is amazing. Our server Tara was excellent. Very attentive , fantastic chats about food and alcohol beverages. We will definitely be back. Such an enjoyable evening. Thanks Tara !!!!
Overall our stay and concert was great! The rooms were very comfortable. The casino was great, drinks were reasonably priced. Had a great time. Eight of us from our group ate dinner at the buffet at about 6pm on Saturday I would not recommend eating there. Everything was cold when should have been warm. Deserts had a crust on them from being out too long.
My husband and I enjoyed a concert and sleepover at Rama. Over the weekend we played several times in the casino. We considered everything 5 star! The staff were very polite and friendly. Before leaving we had booked Spa treatments. I tried booking early but was asked if they could call me back to book until after their move. Approx 3 weeks later we booked and everything was confirmed incl the prices. When it came time to pay I inquired about a $64 facial cream. I waited for my husband to come out only to find the cost of treatments was $50 more than we discussed. I was told the reason was because they were a new Spa. But that is not what she was telling other clients as they were on the 3rd floor for 22 years. Clearly it is the same Spa and just moved to the ground floor. Needless to say I did not buy the facial cream and after a wonderful weekend I left annoyed by the "Matter of Fact" employee from the Spa.
We didn't spend a lot of time in the casino as we were there for a concert performance. The line-up at Tim's was horrendous. Recommend you enjoy a refreshment or snack/meal before you arrive. I was also told I couldn't bring in my own water, while many others had plastic glasses of beer, pop at the concert. Some more than others. The couple sitting in front of us were intoxicated and talked on and off during the entire concert. We sat in the tiered seating and it was most uncomfortable. Every time someone sat up or down or moved near us, we were all shifted in our seats. We enjoyed the concert, appreciated the video screens for closer ups too. The seating is a poorly set up arrangement and not recommended for folks who require more of support with their seating. We felt the cost of our tickets ($135 for 2) should come with more comfortable seating, especially for seniors and those less mobile.
We had stayed over 20 years ago and now returned with our 19 year old daughter. Honestly I don't think much has changed. The rooms have been very well taken care of considering how long its been the bathroom looked great a small scuff on the sink vanity. The carpets definitely need to be updated to vinyl. The bed skirts are very outdated and non existent in hotels today. The couch though had seen better days and what a surprise was waiting inside it! As the beds are small we opted to put Dad/Hubby on the pull out couch and the girls had their own bed and I was shocked by what I found when I pulled it open, it looked like 10 years of couch crumbs somehow found themselves into the mattress area, yellow stains on mattress cover and mattress. It was disgusting to say the least. ||The hotel grounds though were beautiful, loved the water feature in the lobby it really did feel like we were at a resort. There are many food options onsite our favorite is Match. Our server was not very helpful did not seem to know the menu and messed up our food, over charged for an item the meal came with. There is a 24HR Tim Hortons onsite which showcased the breakfast menu 24/7 so don't think they serve anything else. ||We didn't use the pool but we explored it, first time I saw a clean pool deck in a hotel in quite some time so 5 star for the pool area. The water was warm to touch as well. hot tub onsite did not get the temp.||We had a lot of fun at the casino. My daughter had 2 show 2 different ID to gain access due to her age (I believe 25 and under but not sure).||Over all I would definitely stay again but the resort should do the upgrades to get a 5 star
It's a fun night out if you have the extra means in your budget. Very decent atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights. Decent selection of food, however the food comes at a cost which is a couple notches higher than its quality. My advice would be eat elsewhere beforehand or afterwards.
Large dated room, renovated beautiful bathroom, poor view. Good food. It would be good if you could use casino comps at the stores Stayed here again - Really nice room this time. Staff and hotel and on the floor very good. The coffee on the floor not so great - If you get it from someone off the trolley it is much nicer. They now have a Tim Hortons on site. Many will like this but I never really understood what people love about Tim's. I would rather have the little deli bakery back - the cookies and the yogurt were delirious and made on premises. To top it all off - you could use comps there - Now there is one less place at Casino Rama that you can use your comps :(
We love coming to the shows and staying the night but we have noticed a decline in the facility’s more lately.|Rooms are looking worn the couches in the room no longer have cushion padding to the seat. Wallpaper is peeling a bit and wear in the bathroom, tv did not work.|We use to love going to the bar in the casino after the shows and have snacks and drinks with the live music, but that has not been available the last 2 times we went. No bands.|They could use a snack or food option open later as everything food closes at 12 or before.|Again it is a good place to go for the shows and a night out but need a update soon and more options for shows
Travelled with Front Line Tours, excellent comfy, clean room, great bed, fridge. Company gave out vouchers for meals, enjoyed breakfast at Weirs, wife had french toast with berries and I enjoyed eggs, ham and home fries with whole wheat toast, coffee included. Had a great time in hot tub and soaked knees, relaxing. New restaurant Chow ordered soup with pork, excellent tasting broth. Played slots and won a few dollars. Lovely hotel, great interior.
